With the development of the industry, the demand for wires and cables is increasing, and many manufacturers have seen business opportunities, leading to an increasing number of wire and cable manufacturers and a more complete variety. However, how do we choose high-quality wires and cables, or how do we distinguish whether wires and cables are "national standard" or "non-standard"? Here are five tips:

Take a look. We need to check whether the wire and cable products have a quality system certification, whether the certificate of conformity is standardized, whether there is a factory name, address, inspection seal, production date, and whether there are trademarks, specifications, voltage, etc. printed on the wire. We also need to look at the cross-section of the copper core of the wire. High quality purple copper has a bright and soft color, otherwise it is considered defective.
Second attempt. A wire head can be repeatedly bent by hand. Any wire that feels soft, has good fatigue resistance, plastic or rubber has a high elasticity to the touch, and there are no cracks on the insulation of the wire is considered superior.
Weigh three times. Good quality wires and cables are generally within the specified weight range for every 100 meters of weight. The commonly used plastic insulated single stranded copper core wire with a cross-sectional area of 1.5mm2 weighs 1.8-1.9kg per 100m; 2.5mm2 plastic insulated single stranded copper core wire, weighing 3-3.1kg per 100m; 4.0mm2 plastic insulated single stranded copper core wire, with a weight of 4.4-4.6kg per 100m, etc. Poor quality wires have insufficient weight, either insufficient length, or excessive impurities in the copper core of the wires.
Compare prices four times. Due to the low production cost of counterfeit and inferior wires, vendors often sell them at low prices under the guise of being cheap and of good quality, which can deceive people. Therefore, when making a purchase, be careful not to be fooled by the merchant's advertised "good quality and affordable price" and ultimately fall for it.
Look at the copper quality. Qualified copper wire cores should be purple red, glossy, and have a soft touch. However, fake and inferior copper core wires have purple black, yellow or white cores, high impurities, poor mechanical strength, and poor toughness. They can easily break with a little force, and there are often wire breakage phenomena inside the wires. When checking, you only need to peel off a section of the wire at one end, and then rub a piece of white paper slightly on the copper core. If there is black material on the white paper, it indicates that there are many impurities in the copper core, which can be considered as "non-standard" wires and cables.
